I can hardly believe it, Reader, but next week marks FIVE years since my book "Red Cape Rescue: Save Your Career Without Leaving Your Job" was released into the world. If you're newer here, the book is a guide for any successful professional who hits a speed bump in their career and knows it's time to take back control--but isn't sure where to start. Maybe you've read it (or listened on Audible). If so, thanks. I hope it's helped you or someone you love. We intentionally designed it to be an easy read for tough topics, and it never gets old to get a note from someone who's been helped by one small idea. π‘ So while I can't exactly hand you a tasty cupcake or a sparkly glass of bubbly here over the interwebs π₯, I can send loads of appreciation as you celebrate this milestone along with me. β Thank you to the companies and professional groups who've bought multiple books for their teams, meetings and members. π This is one of the best ways to get the ideas within Red Cape Rescue into more hands, fast. It also stimulates great conversation when we can share these concepts and apply them together.
β Thank you to the 108 people to date who've written reviews for the book, even as recently as last week. Reviews are a must-have today since they help others get an idea of whether a book's right for them. Plus--and you may not know this--fresh Amazon reviews send a signal to the 'Zon's bots to keep the book popping up when people are searching for help.
β And finally, thank you to YOU, Reader, simply for being here. Whether you've purchased, read, gifted, shared, or reviewed the book at all, you matter. I'm glad you're here each week taking in new ideas and telling me what matters to YOU.
So while I probably won't bake a cake to celebrate this birthday, I can start mixing up more ideas for what's next. As always, I welcome your notes, direct messages on LinkedIn, and simple replies to this email with a hello. Thanks for being here, and for wearing your red cape every day. P.S. If you're new here, welcome! Thanks for joining this Insider Community, where I share ideas, stories, and invitations I don't share on general social media. I love it when you hit REPLY and say hello or ask a question--'cause yes, I'm a real human behind the keyboard. --D |
