RISK (the four letter word you need to know)

The other night at a cooking class, I saw this on the wall:

It got me thinking about the challenges many of you have simmering in your work and your lives—and the sticky spots and burnt edges that can get in the way.🍯

Truth is, we know that some of the best things in life come from taking a "whisk." That's the case even when our actions or words might stir things up and make us (or someone we care about) uncomfortable.

But it's hard to know when to turn up the heat or even break some eggs 🍳💰.

If that's you, check out my article on how to assess whisk--ah, I mean RISK--in your career:

Read: How to Assess Risk In Your Career

The article includes a Risk Evaluator Worksheet you can also download here, free.

How about you, Reader? Is there an area where you'd like to stir things up, but aren't sure if the soufflé you're making will fall flat? Hit REPLY and tell me about it. Often I have other tools that I can share with you in email that help, too.

I get it. We all have areas where we're a little chicken frickasee-d. But staying stuck or feeling small isn't a satisfying option. Use the worksheet and the article to actively decide on your actions. And know that in the end, a little mess can lead to something delicious. 🥗

Always, Darcy

P.S. When the steaks are high (yep, I went there), you need a steady sous chef—a safe, judgment-free space to sort through the mess, clarify your thinking, and make confident decisions. That’s what I do as a professional coach. This isn’t the moment to stay stuck in the pressure cooker—it’s time to get focused, intentional, and back in control. If you’re ready for a trusted guide to help you navigate what’s next, I’ve opened up a few more spots to talk. Let’s see if a coaching program is the right recipe for you. Start here. --D
