When we find ourselves in a time of great chaos, Reader, we mistakenly tell ourselves we have no options.

However, that's a lie. 😳

Yup, whether that chaos is personal, professional, or global, we get to make one of two choices.

What are they?

🍏 Choice #1: Stay stuck and spend our time in the throes of panic, worry, and/or complaining. (Note: millions of people choose this route. There's nothing wrong with it if you want to feel panic, worry, and complaint.)

OR

🍑 Choice #2: We get creative.

That's the choice I hope you'll make. ✅

Because creativity is the only antidote to chaos.

Whyyhuhh??? Why the devilfood's cake does getting CREATIVE counteract the massive waves of confusion, anger and frustration we keep witnessing today?

Here's why: it's because everything is made up.

All of our processes, action plans, schedules? Somebody made them up.

Expectations, goals, standards? Made up.

Throughout time, when chaos reigns and freezes most, the smart people know they get to make up different solutions.

They don't have to wait for permission.

Organizational expert Bill Bridges called this the "neutral zone"--you're not where you were but you're not at your final destination either.

They get to make up their new way of working, of being.

They use their creativity to take back control of what they can: what they do, what they say, and what they think.
