So Reader, with Father's Day approaching here in the US and in many parts of our world, I've been thinking about my own Dad a lot lately. ❤️ Maybe you're thinking about yours, too. Mine passed away over a decade ago. I often stop and wonder what he'd be saying about the current state of the world. Would he be worried? Enthralled? Activated? Playing with AI, or playing Wordle? Or both? 🎱 More importantly, what advice would he give me, my sister, and anyone else about making the most of their work and their lives in this weird and changing world? Then I remembered. I do have that advice—twelve secrets, in fact, written by him a few years before he passed. In honor of Fathers' Day, I just read them again—and they still hold true. Check them out for yourself: Read: 12 Simple Success Secrets from My Dad (3 minute read) So what about you, Reader? What's the lesson you've learned from your dad, or a dad-like figure in your life (by birth or by choice)? As always, I love hearing from you--just hit REPLY. The more things change, the more the basics matter. There's work we can do to manage through the chaos. Coaching we can apply. Support we can give. Plus, we can remember that somebody out there needs us. Happy Father's Day to all the dads and the dad-like among us, and thanks for being here!
