I once had a summer job in a nuclear power plant, Reader. I remember it being billed as a "good job," which probably meant it paid a few dollars more than what I'd make babysitting or delivering newspapers (back when such a thing existed). What did I do there? Filing maybe? Computer entry, perhaps? All I know for sure is that I flirted with guys in hard hats and watched the clock intensely awaiting the stroke of five. 🕔, I can't remember the work because the work was BOR-ING. Maybe you can relate, whether it be a summer job, past job, or even (gulp) the one you're in now. Boring is a fast pass to burnout. But burnout can be anticipated, and even reversed. And you don't have to wait for the world to change (or your boss, or your industry—or anything you've been assuming has to be different) in order for YOU to have a less boring, less burned life at work. If you (or someone you love) is feeling bored, underutilized, or burned out right now, then the best summer job in 2025 will be to flip the script and start soaring in your life at work once more. I've outlined four powerful & proven steps right here: Read "How to Avoid Career Burnout (A Guide to What's Working Now)" I hope you work through the guide and share it with a friend. 👭 So how about you, Reader? What's YOUR job this summer? Maybe if all's going well, you'll teach what you've learned to someone else in your company? Or reach out to others and learn something new yourself? Hit REPLY and tell me what you're planning or just thinking about for now. I always love hearing from you. ❤️ For a lot of us, summer doesn't mean slow, but it can offer a season to experiment with new ways of doing things. So here’s to making this summer's job the one where you invest in yourself, share what you’ve learned, and maybe even inspire someone else. Keep soaring!
